Become an Antarctic Adventurer at Sea World!
Sea World has launched its ‘coolest’ new Animal Adventure program – Penguin Antarctic Adventure.
The new program allows guests to don special snow gear and head out onto the ice with the King and Gentoo penguins in Sea World’s Penguin Encounter exhibit.
Sea World Assistant Director of Marine Sciences Mark Craig said that the Penguins are just amazing fun to watch and getting out on the ice with them is a really unique experience.
“Guests will experience a back of house tour of the exhibit before joining the playful and inquisitive penguins in their sub zero home”.
“Penguin Encounter is a world class exhibit which has already proven extremely popular with children and adults alike and this new animal adventure is a great opportunity to meet and interact with the penguins at close quarters,” he said.
The $12M Penguin Encounter exhibit is a slice of Antarctica at Sea World which is home to 24 penguins and features icy rock formations and a crystal clear pool for the penguins to explore.
King and Gentoo Penguins are important ambassadors for climate change and Sea World guests can learn about the effects of climate change in the Antarctic region in the Penguin Encounter educational exhibition.
The program, which commences on 1 July 2011, includes a souvenir photograph and can be booked by calling 133 FUN or visiting MyFun.com.au.
