The Ultimate Fusion of Board Sports Arrives Down Under

"The key to the FlowRider is the controlled environment, like tennis or golf, but with the excitement of wave riding...It would be safe to say 95% of all surfers will want to try it."
Kelly Slater, 6-Time World Champion Professional Surfer.

Dreamworld is riding the crest of imagination to the perfect wave with a brand new, unrivalled, aquatic experience never before seen in Australia.

Born from the roots of surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding and bodyboarding, FlowRider will bring the world’s latest board sport down under.

With over 40 installations worldwide and a global visitor count of over fifteen million per year, FlowRider provides a controlled environment where the water is warm and the waves are on tap.

Cut back, ollie or grab air on the ultimate wave, the meanest bowl and the steepest rail in Australia. Surf’s up at Dreamworld, now the only place guaranteed to give you a decent wave all year round.

FlowRider pushes a thin sheet of rushing water over a stationary form so riders can drop in on their own unbroken wave, slide down, carve a turn, cut back and ride up the padded surface.

Pro surfers, skaters and snowboarders from around the world are flocking to FlowRider, now it’s your turn to push the limits and figure out new ways to ride the ultimate rail.

FlowRider is a safe platform for novices and a challenging stage for competitive board riding enthusiasts to show off their skills.

The flexible, trampoline-like base can handle any wipeout so it’s thrills and skills for the whole family where you can go hard from the word go.

Do it standing up or lying down. Regardless of age and skill, everybody can now experience the rush of riding a wave.

Flowboarding

Flowboarding is now an established sport with a worldwide following, a progressive set of skills and tricks and a whole new lingo to boot.

It won’t be long before you’re dropping a ‘miller’, carving the ‘buzz’, throwing a ‘fan’ and slipping a ‘stealie.’ Don’t be the last to go with the flow.

The FlowRider will operate in three modes:

* Bodyboarding sessions for beginners and intermediates
* Flowboarding demonstrations for spectators and wanna-be pros
* Stand-up boarding for advanced riders

Flowboarding by Day

During park hours, you can try lie-down flowboarding / bodyboarding with a $5 Flow Pass. This gives you a thirty minute shared ‘glory’ session with up to 15 other people.

Initially, the Flow Pass is only available for bodyboarding but if people find their feet and the demand grows, Dreamworld will introduce stand-up flowboarding sessions during the day.

Flowboarding by Night

On selected Friday nights, advanced riders can hone their skills in stand-up mode by booking in for NightRider.

$20 will get you a one hour shared ‘glory’ session with up to 12 other people and must be pre-booked.

$5 spectator passes will be also be available for NightRider, where you can grab a bite, crack a cold one and watch your mates take to the stage.

It’s a brand new wave of skill and self-expression as thrilling for the spectator as it is for those on board.

Hit The Flow Zone

Dreamworld has created a multi-million dollar recreational zone to house the Australian first complete with merchandise shop, food outlet and a chill-out bar to take in the action.

Dreamworld’s surfing CEO, Stephen Gregg said the FlowRider is part of a master plan to introduce a new breed of innovative rides and attractions at Dreamworld.

“This is really a taste of things to come, we’re about bringing a new generation of experiences to life which we hope will capture the Aussie culture like never before.”

Mr Gregg said the FlowRider is Australia’s first self contained, flexible and safe surfing environment for families to try a brand new sport on a perfect wave.

“The FlowRider is great news for board riders mixing the highs of surfing, skating, snowboarding bodyboarding and wakeboarding.”

The iconic landmark is set to find a cult following on the coast where the more you do it, the more you love it and the better you get at it.

Every time you ride, you improve your skills and perform for the crowd, it’s Australia’s most radical stage.

“In the near future, we’ll launch Flowboarding competitions that will pitch top board sports professionals from around the world against our regular riders right here at Dreamworld.”

“Flowrider will also provide an awesome new venue with theming and lighting for world class events after dark,” Mr Gregg said.

The wave is heated and open all year round so be one of the first to experience FlowRider and get ready to get wet.

Does it come in Black? Yes- and it has come to Warner Bros. Movie World

The new Batmobile has hit the streets of Warner Bros. Movie World!

Warner Bros. Movie World has taken the experience to a whole new dimension with the exclusive daily appearance of the awesome new Batmobile from the hit film Batman Begins!

The Batmobile, an integral part of the legend of Batman, is a design hybrid of a Humvee and a Lamborghini that combines the functionality of a tank and the finesse of a sports car.

In the past the Batmobile has been presented as a contemporary vehicle, but with a slight sense of exaggeration and extremity to it. This new Batmobile is no different although a little more extreme.

Check out the new Batmobile and come face to face with Batman and your favourite characters from all the Batman movies only at Warner Bros. Movie World.
